I titled my book, “Newly’s Complete Adventure, So far..” as an explanation;
It’s complete in the sense, it contains the writing of the full story, in a novel style, text only format.
My thought this would be a typical paperback that the reader would stowe in a backpack and read when convenient.
The 5 part series are picture books, artwork within the written text, smaller books made for an easier, more digestible read.
A Visit from Friends
An unexpected visit from Blossom and Skip brought pleasant surprises for Newly and Hewey. Blossom and Skip had been curious about how Newly was adjusting to his new life on the farm, but what they saw exceeded their expectations. They were amazed by the progress that had taken place during their absence.
Hewey’s presence and his willingness to work alongside Newly left them particularly astonished. They had initially believed Hewey to be a wild and untamed horse, but now they saw him as a valuable partner in farm work.
As they toured the farm and took in all the improvements, including the well-maintained house, the neatly tilled farmland, the flowing creek, and the bridge that connected the adjacent land, Blossom and Skip couldn’t help but express their admiration.
In unison, they praised Newly with a hearty.
“Well Done, Newly!”
Another Snack
Newly, who had been so immersed in his tasks, had not fully realized the extent of the progress he had made. He graciously offered his visitors some apples and cold water, and they all enjoyed a moment of relaxation. Hewey, in his characteristic exuberance, made quick work of devouring a generous amount of apples, providing entertainment for the group.
During their conversation, the significance of the bridge became apparent. Skip explained that the previously inaccessible land adjacent to Newly’s property would now be his to develop and work on, thanks to the bridge. It was a turning point for Newly, and Skip once again congratulated him with a heartfelt
“Well Done, Mr. Newly!”
Newly’s hard work, dedication, and the unexpected partnership with Hewey had not only transformed the farm but had also earned him the admiration and support of his neighbors. The future of Newly’s farm was looking brighter than ever.
